I would like to get a Mule/Ranger equivalent, but I'm not sure they will fit between the wheel wells of my truck. I just bought a 2004 GMC 1500 Crew Cab. It is 50" between the wheel wells. After I have the Rhino Liner installed it will be about 49 1/2".

Will these ATV's drive right between them without any trouble? The specs say they are wider, but that is the overall width. Not the width at the wheels.

I don't think so. A friend has a Ranger he bumps around on my place from time to time and he uses a trailer. Thinking about it, I'm pretty certain that the sides are not higher than the sides of a truck bed but that is just an impression. If you don't get a knowledgeable answer in the next day or so, I'll drop by his house and measure it. In addition, I think EVEN if it will fit across, you're going to have a length problem. Even with an 8 foot box the rear wheels are going to be riding on the tailgate. Most tailgates these days are built like used sardine cans and I doubt that they will stand much weight bouncing around on them for long. If you don't have an 8 foot box you're out of business anyway. Think trailer or a 4 wheeler.
My father has a ranger and a 2003 GMC Sierra. He has always hauled it on a trailer for other reasons (lumber and equipment). I will ask him tomorrow if it fits. I kinda don't think it will though.

Fellas,

I really appreciate the help. I really doubt that they will fit, but the brochures are indicating that they will. I'd rather hear from someone that has been able to or not. I was hoping that the tailgates were a little stouter. I'll look into alternatives.
