Couple weeks ago I traded up in "beater" trucks, from a 2012 GMC Canyon to a 2014 full size Chevy, for my every day bombing around vehicle. Had to adjust to suit by adding a 1 1/2" leveling kit on the front, and a one size bigger set of Goodyear Duratracs. Finished by bolting up the 4" oval steps that I took off my other truck.











And had to pull off the front plastic air dam....

Good call on removing the air dam...pretty sure that leaves stock Chebbys with about 1.3" of clearance.

I have the Duratracs on my Silverado. Love them, especially in the winter.

Having never run them before, I poured over the reviews, and only found a couple complaints of soft sidewalls, the rest were majority 5 star positive.

I was planning on putting on Coooper ST/Maxx, to match my other truck, but they weren't in stock. However the Duratracs were, and they price matched from the cheaper Coopers.

I really like the duratracs, run them on my Jeep Wrangler and my Ram Power Wagon which came stock with them on.

Who's leveling kit did you use? Always wanted to put one on my 99 Tahoe but never had the balls, worried it will wear front end stuff

Unless they have changed things, I believe the 2wd trucks were coil spring front and the 4x4's were torsion bar. To different systems that font really compare when leveling. They may have done something different on the newest models, but all of my 4x4's have been torsion bar.

After a bunch of research I went with an 1 1/2" Motofab leveling kit. General concensus was any more lift will put too much stress on the front end parts over time. Bought it on fleabay for $22 shipped.

This kit fits 07-16, 2 or 4WD. Looks like they don't offer a front end kit for 99-06 models, just rear.
