What the title says.

Toyota hasn't imported Landcruisers to Canada for decades. However, we do have the Lexus.

I would prefer the Landcruiser. A Lexus is about $110000-120000 CAD. With the exchange rate, a Landcruiser imported from the USA would cost about the same. Would be easier to buy the Lexus. But is it as off road capable as the Landcruiser?
The Lexus is pretty stout. $8-10k higher priced if i recall. Differences were mainly cosmetic and fit/finish on the interior.

When i bought my wife hers, i was thinking we’d go Toyota and save some coin but the difference in buying experience between the Toyota dealer and the Lexus dealer was night and day. The Toyota dealer was so painful i was happy to pony up the extra cash for the Lexus.

FWIW it was a grocery getter for my wife and i wouldn’t have off roaded with it, though it did have the ability to raise and lower the suspension, crawl, etc. But we never used that.

Sh*tty gas mileage and a smallish tank so don’t say you haven’t been warned about that.
Main differences on the 200 series landcruiser and lexus are interior amenities on the Lexus, AHC suspension and 20" wheels. AHC is a handy system that self levels for cargo loading and will allow one to lower or raise the rig as desired for off roading, etc. So far as I know, same powertrain with the same driver's aides. Install a set of 33" tires on 17" wheels, remove the running boards and go four wheeling.

I owned an 80 series lexus LX450 for 14 years and sold it last year for a 2008 Landcruiser 200 series.
Thanks guys.
