I have a gas burner 2016 2500hd with factory 17" wheels. I want to upgrade to 20" factory wheels but haven't had any luck finding any at a decent price yet.
I have been considering the Cooper at3 xlt tires in a 285/70/17 or 285/75/17 but keep hearing about the Fauken at3.
I can get the coopers mounted and balanced for $765.
Anybody got any ideas on which is the better tire for the "E" rated tires
Also anybody with a new body 2500hd got larger than stock tires without a lift, what size will fit?
I can't comment on the GM aspect, but I've run both the Cooper AT3 and the Falken Wildpeak AT3w (current tire). It's not a totally fair comparison as the Coopers were slightly larger and had a max pressure of 65 psi, while the Falkens are 80 psi. I actually find the Falkens to be quieter and equally smooth on pavement. The Falkens provide similar traction in wet and sand, and better in mud. Both are good tires in my opinion.
IN my opinion the Michelin LTX series of tires are the longest wearing best NON off road tire made. They are very quiet and good traction on ice but lacking in mud or snow. All my buddies with commercial heavy duty trucks say thats the only tire they will buy. I have to buy OFF road tires just because thats where I live.

I would suppose that the Falkens are a heavy rate "e" tire and handle better on your f350. How much better would you say the falkens performed in the mud?
Enough better that I noticed it fairly quickly. They seem to clean out better than the Coopers which can make a big difference.
