I recently bought my first Toyota, a 2016 Tacoma with 17,000 miles on it.

I like it but have one problem, that is getting in and out of it. I am 5'9" and weight 160 pounds. The Tacoma has a tilt steering wheel that also telescopes.

My problem is getting my legs under the steering wheel getting in and out. More when getting in.

get used to leaving the wheel tilted up......

I have a 2016 and am bigger than you..... I just learned to climb in differently, so that my legs don't hit the steering wheel.

I'm on my 4th Tacoma and have never had that problem out of any of them

I flip the wheel up and down upon entry/exit in every vehicle I own, as I prefer the wheel down low, nearly in my lap. I'm also 5'9" and 160. I have long legs for my height and a telescoping wheel is always a plus.

I've had a 2007 since new. The lower cab height and smaller cab takes some getting used to. I don't even notice it anymore and I also have an F150 so I go back and forth.

Please don't take these comments in a bad way, but it is a common problem for short armed people. It's fairly common complaint with a small percentage of owners.
Really, all you can do is alter how you get in and out, or get used to driving with your arms fully extended, or your feet just barely close enough to the petals.

Buy a Ford! 😜
