Are there any elk hunts that don’t require a lot of walking? Knee and feet issues prevent me from doing a lot of walking in uneven terrain. I would love to go on an elk hunt for a nice bull. I had a chance to go last year but it was high fenced they looked like pets and I couldn’t justify it. Where are the best states or places to go on a decent elk hunt? Thanks
In NM, you could get a mobility impairment cert. if you meet the requirements. You then could apply as MI or use the cert on a private ranch authorization hunt.
If not, I’d look at a ranch hunt where you could sit water.

Some ranch hunts in Wyoming on General tags will have gentle terrain but you need PP to draw a license.
Wyoming also offers permits for disabled hunters.
https://wgfd.wyo.gov/Permits/Forms-Applications/DisabledWe have some organizations that also hold hunts for disabled hunters.

My friends dad did a guided disabled hunt out of Reserve New Mexico unit 15 or 16 . Took a nice bull the week before we joined up in unit 2 for a deer hunt. Remember the tenderloins grilled to perfection.
