Got a nice cow on an Oregon damage tag yesterday. 330 yards, custom 1952 Model 70 .338 Winchester, lovingly handloaded 210 Partition. Bang flop with an extra for insurance. Eat right up to the bullet hole, just as Elmer said...

The walking stick is covering the quarter size exit hole. The heart was mush.

Yeah, I got lucky, especially since I was using a Leupold ... smile

I use my homemade shooting sticks as walking/ support sticks. Very helpful with loose knees. That stick looks dandy for the task.

Beautiful rifle, nice cow

Rifle looks too purity to hunt with. Need to drag it through the brush a bit.

Congrats....nice cow.

Great that Elmer crossed your mind. Fantastic cartridge.

Lots of valuable meat, given crazy prices these days.
