Just checked and I drew an Mz Bull Elk tag Unit 231, looking for any rec's for a good outfitter, any input would be appreciated

Congrats! Great area, Todd Wright in Pioche (not sure of the business name), Bull Ridge Outfitters, in Ely, are 2 of the best. Good idea to book early as they will be booked up soon. Know both guys personally, they work hard for their clients.

Had a ML elk tag in '06, the area just north of yours, there were more/better bulls than there are now, IMO, but still a great hunt. You wouldn't believe what I walked away from, part of the reason I didn't even fire a shot. Best hunt I've had.

I cant remember if he hunts 231, but Greg Krough is one one of the best guides anywhere.
He hunts Arizona and Nevada.

Without any hesitation I would tell you to book with Greg Krogh. To be fair, he is a very good friend of mine and I am a bit biased BUT I can also tell you that I have never hunted with a better hunter. He is simply the best at what he does and he knows that particular unit as good or better than anybody else. IMO nobody has consistantly knocked down as many trophy animals as he has in that unit.
