Got hit 2 years in a row. October cow tag Peaks hunt for me!

So everyone I know has gotten hit. Which is a possible RED flag. Did AZGFD charge everyone (by accident or otherwise) with the intent of reversing the charges later? If they did, that would be a costly (expensive) mistake. They would be charged for the authorization to the credit card and then again for the reversal.

I'm hoping its just a freaky coincidence (I know Jethro Gibbs says there is no such thing) and everyone of use who got a hit actually ends up with a tag.

Did anyone not get a hit on their CC so far?

Looks like one of the first two Peaks bull hunts for me.

One of the Unit 27 Antlerless draws in Oct for me. Or if my the grace of the big guy, my third choice was Unit 27 Bull.

Anyone heard of antelope charges yet?

Some have reported Antelope tag hits on their CC.

Peeshooter, were they bugling last year on your hunt? They were VERY quiet on the first hunt two years ago.

I drew a unit 13 antelope tag

Looks like I got hit for an early rifle tag. Will be celebrating tonight. I put in for the following:
3005 Sep 29 - Oct 5, 2017 (32,38) 10 Bull elk 40
3001 Sep 29 - Oct 5, 2017 (18) 1, 2B, and 2C Bull elk 40

Yes lots of bugles, 99% in unit 8 across the road!

I had 5 total. This year I had 2 (hunter ed and loyalty points) only.

My two partners and I out in for antelope and elk. Credit card hit for $405. Antelope is $103 and elk is $148. Numbers not adding up. Any ideas?

You have 3 elk tags. Subtract the app fee you already paid.

In the top tier units, 23, 27, 1, etc. I am anticipating at least a +2 creep for specific hunts....

I have a bud with 18 pts and he is hitless ...

If so, at a minimum, unit 23, both n and s experiences a + 2 creep....

Snow in other states and winter rains in AZ....

I had 3 points. Last bull was unit 10 early rifle. I killed a 350" bull.

Just checked with my buddy, his card got hit yesterday. Now the waiting game of what unit and what hunt. Rifle, muzzle loader or archery.

Damn I miss elk hunting, I grew up in NM so hunted elk in NM, AZ, co and MT.

I shot my first one in AZ when I was 18 back in 1998.

3 bonus points + application got me an Antlerless tag in 27. My third choice was a Bull and I'm doubtful I got that tag.

11 points, no hit on two late season bull tags.

It's still not over. My cc got hit on Tues night for an early archery tag.I see on another hunting site that a few people got charged yesterday and today.I think they are still re assigning tags from people who's cc got rejected.

Results should be up soon. There is a backdoor to see what tag number you drew. Wife and I are still in the running for either of our choices.

You guys are WAY ahead of us. Idaho doesn't even set the seasons until April and the application period for the draw starts May 1. They need to see how the game came through the winter before they can set the seasons.

They do it this way so if you get drawn, you know when the hunt is when you put in for deer so they don't conflict. We got 6A muzzle loader Thanksgiving week.

Results are on the portal. Early rifle 7east for me! Tag number 12. 2nd choice with 3 points.

They must have hit me several days after all this started as I drew a very nice tag and am one happy camper.

It's not. It's just a way to tell if you were drawn or not in general.

Yeah was gonna say with 11 points you should be drawing late rifle bull tags. Congrats!

Unit 8 ML cow tag for the end of September. Life is good!

I've hunted 6A a couple of times but it will be the first time for 8. My AZ hunting pard has some friends that have hunted there. And he will be up there scouting this summer.

Will the rut be still going on then? In Colorado it will be tailing off at that time.

Bulls will still be hanging with cows. Unit 8 is a pretty good unit-especially if you are rifle hunting.

as someone else said, BP's for me this year on Elk and pronghorn.

I intend to put in for sheep as I have a good number of points and enough money (non-res) in case I get drawn. No way I could afford both were I to get so lucky.
