Couple more pics just because.
Congratulations he will eat well.
Fantastically cool my friend. Way to get him involved early, and in the right way.
My boy took his first cow when he was 12, and we also hiked/biked that one out. Got back to camp at 2 am. He slept the entire drive home the next day. He's 17 now and bigger than me. I'd give a million dollars or so to go back to the point you're at. It passes in the blink of an eye. Enjoy every minute of it.

p.s. Congrats on a fine bull with your bow.
That's awesome congratulations...
Congratulations! Even more fun to have that young man involved on the pack out. You can tell from his smile he was proud to get to help. Well done! Thanks for sharing the pictures.
loved the pics! Keep that boy in the woods

Great way to get your buddy involved. Lots of smiles to go around. You’ll be packing HIS out in the not too distant future 😊
Good stuff! Looks like everybody had a fun time - congrats to you both!!
Congrats on the bull and getting your boy out there too!
best thread in a long time.
happy kid!
attaboy.
Nice work and thanks for the post, a great way to start off the season.
Congrats and what a way to spend with the young man..
Nice job.
A memory he won't forget.

That's right, hard to top being 9 years old and skipping school with dad. Combine that with elk, 4-wheeler and motorcycling and we know he's hooked on the Good Life!
Congrats!
PS. Hey, is that gut hanging over your belt?
Skipping school to help dad pack out an elk using the dirt-bike/ATV just rocketed that young man into the center of the envy of all his friends universe.
I really like that right-side goober-antler too. Congratulations!
Congratulations! Great pictures.
Congrats! Great memories there...
Looks like the boy is having a lot of fun. Congrats on a successful hunt.
Heck yeah! Won’t be long and you’ll be trying to keep up with him thru the mountains.
Very nice. You both will remember that for a long time.
Good memories! Very cool.
Thank you. Proud young man, there. Best of times.
Liked the way you put down a meatbull instead of worrying half to death about getting the "big 6 pt in the sky" for the wall. Good eats for your family. MB
Thanks guys, we had a blast!
Oh and Mtnboomer, I must have had the waste belt on my pack cinched up extra tight.
Great Father & Son experience he will remember the rest of his life ! Congratulations on your bull... and the memories made ! The son's smile says it all ! HH
Congratulations! That looks like some steep country?
He will never forget that day and always cherish it. Heartfelt congrats on a wonderful experience for you both.
That's fantastic, congrats!!!
Great stuff! Thanks for sharing.
Congrats on the elk. Awesome having your little helper get in on the action.
Great job! Not everything can be learned in school, I often allow my daughter to skip school to hunt or work cattle.
Very well done. I've found that not nearly all the education I want my boys to have occurs inside a school house. Stellar Dad move!
