CO first rifle Elk, 3 guys-3 bulls. One monster.....Bugling like I've never heard before, Bugling Friday night through Sunday morning until we started to really put the spook in them...
One Black bear sighted,(a first for us), Multiple Muley bucks at treeline, (another first) and 2 bull moose...

Home 2 days early, Still trying to recover from the drive there and back and lack of sleep at 11.5 elevation.
Temps were about 15/20 for a low at night and high of 50's..
.
Snow climbing Monarch pass Friday but then 4 straight days of not a single cloud, Sunburnt and chapped lips....
Good times with 2 friends and some awesome memories.

What is it, about Elk hunts at 12'000 feet that by the 3rd day you say never again, Cant do it anymore, Cant breathe........
But driving home you're already planning the next one, Lord willing.

Very few pics, camera malfunctions, but some pics are being forwarded by the other 2 members.

Every now and then you get lucky, and I thank the Gods for that.

All that target practice at distance all summer, then 2 cow calls brings him in to 90 yds,,,,,,Seriously????????

So rare to have the all marbles roll your way, but when it does, still smiling 3 days later.

What really tickles me, was me being so concerned about the current Full moon phase,
Really had concerns on how that might affect the hunt,
At this point, Luv me some full moon.........
