You are correct, sir! 7x6 he is. Or at least I think... How many points you count on his left side in this pic? I'm going a little cross-eyed looking at my phone..
Glorious, isn't he? Today he was with a group of cows and a spike. All the other elk looked at me.. but not him. Too much of a badass to be concerned, I guess.
I bought a spotting scope from a forum member just so I could look at this bull. And of course today I didn't have it with me. Doh!
It almost looks like part of the herd down on the wildlife refuge south of Corvallis. I was down there several months ago and there were over 100 head grazing on new crops coming up right outside the visitors center.
Read my mind! I haven’t been by Jewel in many years, but the Dean Creek area almost always has a few nice bulls in it. That guy is a toad for sure. Usually, by the time they’re this old/big they have crown points.

There's a point coming forward just under the 3d point on the left. He's a 7x7.
Longarm: Thanks for sharing the great photo with us! What part of the world does that creature live in - by the moss on the trees in one of the pictures I have a guess. Thanks again. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy
