I recently purchased a TC encore pistol to help out a friend in need. The pistol is a "6mm BR remington." I have a decent amount of cartridge knowledge but the benchrest cartridges have never interested me. So I am a little lost on this one. From what I have researched, there is a difference between the Norma and Remington 6mm BR.

Anybody with any knowledge on these be able to help me? can i shoot 6mmBR norma out of my barrel? I plan to reload obviously for this but I do have some access to 6mm BR norma ammo.

The 6mmbr is my favorites for a no muss no fuss accurate cartridge. All of mine have been rifles though...
My current is a 1-12 twist Remington, slower twist and a shorter throat, 80 gr bullets shoot well.
My previous barrels have been 1-10, 1-8, 1-10, 1-12
Creeker steered you to the right place for cartridge information.

I don't think your barrel is throated long enough for factory Norma ammo.

I have owned 7x30 Waters in a contender and your 6mmBR Encore is intriguing!

PM incoming.
