Registration for the 2023 Southwest Nationals here in Phoenix opened this morning. Anyone else signing up?
Never have, prefer Across the Course. One year I may have to give it a try.
It's a great time of year to be shooting here in Phoenix!
I understand it included Across the Course matches for the first several years, only NRA Prone and F class since I started attending in 2019.
That's a great one as well. Lots of big smallbore matches that month too. Western Wildcat 6400 prone regional, Diamondback metric prone etc.
I just cant get over the price of hotels come march wow! February they are $80-$90 bucks March they are $180 and up for a room..
That does seem odd. The big tourist draw events I can think of are in February...

I talked to some guys who have gone and they get rooms on Luke AFB but man that’s a good drive to Ben Avery
May not be as bad as you think. With Loop 303 finished it looks like a 34 minute drive from the base to Ben Avery.
Yeah it’s been 12 yrs since I been to Phoenix.
What discipline? Last I knew the "Southern Nationals" was a small bore silhouette match in winnsboro Louisiana..

F class and Palma/sling shooters
This one's the Southwest Nationals, used to be Berger Southwest Nationals. It's long range prone and F class with one day at mid range (600 yards).
