Came across an OLD 700 in 222 for a very good price and just received it. The barrel is marked CR & PJ Hart, its sitting in a 3 piece laminate stock. It came with 50 brand new brass and I had some 52 nosler custom comp blems on the bench. Tried Varget, N133, and H4895 in groups of 4 per charge weight. Shooting off a carpet covered board and using a rear bag, this thing shoots very well. I've always wanted to try the triple deuce, and am very impressed with this rifle.

thats the deuce for sure.

It is probably the easiest to work with, least finicky, and most accurate round I have ever worked with. They are a pleasure to own.

Great rifle you have, I hope you keep enjoying it

You need to measure my groups. When you have a group over 2.5 caliber apart for a 223, it ain't that small.Measure it again and subtract 223 from it. Not saying the groups are bad, just ain't that small.

Actually you'd subtract .224" which means his groups are actually better than he's shown.

Butch, you know way more than I do. What am I doing wrong here? I even showed my work! smile

Bullets don't print full size holes. So if you measure the outside of the group and subtract a bullet diameter, you are under reporting the group size.

Wow. Just wow.
Thats what I was thinking ingwe.
You should note I said nothing until the OP asked the question, and all I did was answer it.

Ha. Just a little good natured ribbing Mathman, no offense intended.
No matter how you measure those groups that rifle is humming.
