The wind was much worse today than last month. It varied from 6 o'clock to 9 o'clock between zero and approx 15 mph. I placed first out of 11 shooters in Light Gun with a 7.81" agg (the average of three 5-shot groups). I placed first in the Heavy Gun class with an agg of 9.4" (the average of three 10-shot groups). I also placed first in score for both the Light and Heavy classes, shot the highest single round score for both Light and Heavy gun classes, and shot the smallest single group in Heavy Gun. The only thing I didn't win was the smallest group in Light Gun.

I was shooting my 300 WSM. Python action, Tracker stock, Benchmark barrel, Nightforce BR scope. My load was 63 grains of H4831 SC, Fed 210Ms, Rem Brass, and 220 grain Sierra Matchkings seated .007" into the lands. They chronoed at 2740 fps with an ES of 11. The light gun match was shot with fireformed brass and the heavy gun match was shot with new, unfired brass with lousy concentricity. BTW, I had previously tested the new brass and found it had the same accuracy and velocity as the new brass.

These results do nothing to help those who are trying to convince me to use lighter weight bullets at higher velocities. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> Next month we'll see if I was just lucky last weekend..............................
A very deserving win, congratulations.
Congrats!!

30 WSM?
Ooops, it was a 300 WSM. I edited the original post to describe the rifle.
