I finally managed to purchase the correct magpul equipment to convert my AR to a 2-point sling set up. I bought the Magpul sling for $60. No more nut slapping.

On that ar pistol I just built, I am trying out paracord sling attachment points and an IDF style 2 point sling. I haven't had a chance to play with it much yet, but I like the simplicity and not having to fool with any extra hardware for sling mounts.

I have both and like each.

Blue Force Gear Vickers, Padded 2 Point

Magpul 2 point

I typically run the Blue Force on heavier setups, as the padding helps. However, the Magpul edges it out for simply working well. Both are easily adjustable but the Magpul has less material and bulk thus less to get in the way which helps on mid and lighter right rigs.

Better late than never, I worked on that myself this fall.

I bought a Magpul, a BF Vickers, & a no name Ebay sling, plus 2 fistfuls of swivels, sockets, mounts etc.

So glad I've got my AR's, & a shotgun better squared away. Only now do they seem finished. Now working on ways to bundle up, on the gun, those long slings when they're not in in use. Heavy rubber bands, velcro etc. Keep the sling from getting hooked on things, but still on the gun & quick to deploy.

The bottom video should give you some ideas.

TWR,

Thanks for your suggestions on this & in the past. I appreciate it. I don't have any open buckles on my slings like the Proctor, but the video fed a few more volts to the dim lightbulb in my head, & I found solutions without the additions of straps or bands.

Viking,

After some practice with your new 2 point, I think you'll like it better. I never got comfortable with a 1 point, & got bruised a time or two myself.
