If you do what bullets have you been most impressed with?

I started using 64gr Winchester PP, and then the Nosler 64gr BSB. I thought both worked well. I have some Barnes ttsx, tsx but have not tried them. Picked up a couple boxes of 65gr Speer GDs jut in case.

After a thorough read on the subject on another forum I'm going to use the 77gr TMK this year for at least one.

I use 62 TTSX and 62 Bear Claws in my AR and a fast twist 22-250. I’ve never shot a deer, but plenty of pigs. I haven’t had any run off.
scenarshooter uses the Hornady 55 grain soft point.

That’s what I’d use.

I like the 65gr Sierra GK but also took plenty with Hornady 55sp when picking my shots.

i'll be punching a few tags with BHA 77gr tmk here in a couple of weeks.

we (me and hunting partners) have taken a fair good number of critters off the wyoming/sodak landscape with that combo it's still the standby.

I have been a fan of the Sierra 65gr GK but was forced to use a mono to "Save the California Condor" a couple years ago, the 62gr TSX went 2 for 2 on deer. (very finiky to make shoot well though)

Nosler 60 gr partition

The 65 grain Sierra Gamekings work well, but this year I am going to try the 77 TMK.
I have used 55gr soft points to good effect.
60 gr soft points to good effect.
62 gr soft points to good effect.
55 and 62 gr FMJ to good effect.

I don't think it matters as much as we think it should if you hit them correctly. All of my shots were 250 yards or less. Probably killed 25 deer in the last few years and hundreds of hogs. 5.56/.223 is all I use unless my shots will be long across peanut/bean/corn fields.

My first choice would probably be the 60 grain partition but none of my ARs have shot them accurately, generally 3-5 MOA. The current one shoots a number of fairly suitable bullets (and some not so suitable ones) fairly well (or better) including the 55 and 60 grain Hornady soft points which I would be perfectly happy with, but it seems to really like the 70 grain Accubond which is what I'll be using if I hunt deer with it this fall.

My choice is the 65 grain SGK. It shoots lights out in my 9, 8 and 7 twist rifles. I tried the 60 grain partition, but couldn't get it to shoot in any of my rifles.

How did the FMJ's work? I always wondered this. I am going to take a couple this fall with 75gr Hornady BTHP because they shoot so good.
But wondered about FMJ's like Speer's 75gr TMJ. Ya ya I've heard the same stories about FMJ's. How big are the deer yer taking with them?

FMJ's shoot em in the head

I have been killing deer fairly dead for many years with the Winchester 64 grain soft point. I don't know how much deader I could kill them with a different bullet though.

12 weeks roughly until season. Have 77’s in hand, 18” barrel, and a stamp. Will see what happens opening morning.

I’ve taken a couple deer with the Federal LE tactical ammunition that has a 62 grain bullet. I believe that they used the bear claw bullet back then. The new stuff has a 55 grain Hi Shock bullet and I haven’t tried it on deer yet. The old stuff worked well on my sample of three. Not huge deer but they dropped fairly quickly when hit in the boiler room out of a 16.5” barreled Ruger M77.

Yep. The Barnes 62 gr TTSX and the WW 64 gr Power Point works well too. Same Same for hogs.
