I really like my 12.5 inch suppressed blackout, it’s just a fun gun to shoot and I’d like to hear everyone’s thoughts on alternatives to the Barnes bullet for deer and black bears because I don’t reload and that’s a very expensive hard to find option.

I just killed a mid sized black bear with the win. Deer season xp but due to shot places I have no idea if the bullet is a good choice. A 150 grain bullet at 1900fps seems like it would have expansion issues.

Is a light for caliper lead core bullet a good option? They seem to be the only thing available without getting raped.

For cheap accuracy, it's hard to beat the Speer 125gr TNT. It will kill deer too.

We have killed a slew of deer with the 300blk between me, my son, and nephew. My middle son will use it two weeks from now as well. Probably right at or over 20 deer now. It’s great cause it’s quiet suppressed. No recoil for the kids. Cheap for me to reload

The 125 Nosler ballistic tip work great

110 Barnes is even better. The best in my opinion. If only shooting a box a year at deer or less that is your huckleberry. Just adjust sights as needed and switch ammo as needed

My friend uses the 110vmax and has had great success


The trick is limit ranges appropriately and make good shots of course

I don't think the 300BO would be my first choice for black bear, unless they're on the small side.

A fast expanding deer bullet would be a good choice, vs a varmint bullet. The NBT or Hornady SST would be my choice.

No. I’d have no problem shooting one with my 300blk model 7 with a 110 Barnes. None at all.

Not yet anyway. Take the long mag and good luck for a successful hunt.

I'm hunting bear with something other than 300bo, but, in the end, lotta bears killed with da thurdy-thurdy, and super 300bo is ballistically a 30-30.
