Just bought an X police Bushmaster AR "pistol" from FL.

It is fitted with a "brace" that has an adjustable LOP (like a full sized AR 15)

The popos had no issue with it, what about a civilian.

I still cant grasp how a AR with a brace would be handy. I have tried, shot a few yadayada an they just dont make sense to me.

ATFu has their guidance/threat/crime prevention letter formed it seems. In brief, with a barrel less than 16” an AR pistol with a brace substantially resembling a butt stock becomes a Short Barreled Rifle. Guidance is also given on how to comply before the final copy is ahead of the Sept 1 promised date of final form. ie: destroy the brace, give it to ATFu, get a stamp and register the beast with the ATFu. I kid you not. Another government agency stocked with unelected bureaucrats denying the Bill of Rights. Look it up.
