I just finished a 264 lbc build and I'm working on load development. So far I've only tried 8208XBR. What powders have you had good luck with in this cartridge? I'm mostly running 123g bullets.

I really like a near max load of 8208XBR with the 123gr sst. 2520 might be worth a shot if 8208XBR doesn't work for you.
Here are a few loads I have worked up for my 8 twist .264 LBC Black Hole Weaponry barrels, barrel lengths vary 16", 18" & 26" all are AR's. But the loads shoot well in all of them.

Factory Hornady A-Max and SST's shoot well in all of them. SST's have shot the tightest lately.

I like BL(C)-2 😉
From an 18 inch barrel how fast can you accurately push most 120 grain bullets? If I wanted 2500 fps is that too much?
No, you can get 2500 from a 18" Polygonal barrel with 120's.
From an 18 inch pipe that sounds pretty good to me! Whatpowders get you there? How is accuracy and case life at those speeds?
I'm sure I have a can of blc-2 around somewhere. Looks like I'll have to dig it out. I tried 123 nosler CC's and 123 amax's over 8208 and got about 1" with the first loads. I've clocked them up to 2550 fps when I was working up pressure over the chrony so yes a 18" barrel will run 123's at 2500.

I've got some 129 ablr's that I'm going to work up too. They're supposed to expand down to 1300 fps which might make this a decent long range hunting load.

If I have time I'll try ar comp, cfe 223 and pp 2000mr. First I need to find my can of blc-2.

do any of you guys doubt that the 6.5 Grendel is better than the .223 when it comes to choosing a battle rifle caliber? I'm only asking because I'm thinking about building one.
