Want to put a new trigger in my rig, 2 stage. What do you recommend that wont brake the bank. That's fancy for I'm cheap.........
Thanks
If RR is still on sale, it's about the best bang for the buck.
But Gieselle G2S is a better trigger for more money.
yes and yes.
The RRA are a good value. used to be dealer on them was about 60 bucks...
They can usually use about 500 rounds through them and even then sometimes they can use a bit of stoning and tweaking, overall though for cheap 2 stage they are the cleanest and best bang for the buck IMHO.
If I am serious, and actually like I needed another lower, I"d be going to Bills triggers by far.
As is I don't have any serious ARs and the next 10 lowers will likely all have RRAs in them.
+1 on the G2S. I've got them in two of my guns and if you don't want to spring for the SSA or SSA-E the G2S is still a very nice trigger.
RRA varmint is a good trigger for a hunting rifle, sometimes you can find the G2S on sale, I paid $115 IIRC.
I see the RRA trigger is 85 bucks and says its 4.5 to 5 lbs. Anyone know how much weight the 1st and 2nd stages are?
Thanks for the help.
typically on the standard NM trigger its going to be around 2.5/3 pounds first, and the rest on the 2nd. Maybe just a hair more on the first if you get a good one.
I have a couple of varmint ones for a year I have not even opened the box on, I"m hoping they are 2.5 and 1 pound. Even if 2nd stage is 1.5 pounds but crisp I"d be happy.
I love the RRA varmint I have in mine.
Good value. I picked up 2 for $62 each at Christmas time.
I installed a Del-Ton in my friends 6.8 and was very impressed with it.
May move on a couple RRA's. Still bumming from the G2S's I got on sale not working in my large pin Colt M4's.
SSA-E large pin versions at $285 are not floating my boat.
call Bill at Geiselle and explain and see what they would do about swapping....
Rock river varmint shows 3.5 lb but think it's more like 2. $79 shipped

I have the Varmint trigger. Mine is somewhere around 3.5 lb, definitely not 2lb.
Got my RRA varmint and its REALLY light! I wanted light but think I got more than I expected. Need to shoot it some to be sure.
Might want to look at the match and not the varmint
Bend the trigger spring.... PM me if you need to... you can adjust the weight that way.
