Thought I may pass on some info on a Timney 3 lb single stage ar trigger that I purchased. First let me say I have purchased other Timney triggers that worked as advertised right out of the box with complete satisfaction, not the case this time and Timney's complete lack of customer service just may deter me from any future purchases.

The trigger was a 3 lb pull small pin ar trigger. What I got was a 4 lb 10 oz trigger, not too pleased. 3 calls to Timney's customer service tech line resulted in not being able to reach a tech and NO callback. An email message resulted in a generic response with a link to follow if the generic responce did not take care of the issue. It did not and twice I clicked the link to let them know I still had an issue. Still waiting for that resonce, over a week now.

So Timney customer service appears to have gone in the toilet. I worked on the trigger and without touching adustments, which they do not want you messing with as they are slathered with 2 colors of some locking glue, I was able to get the trigger down to 3 lb 6 oz, not great but better. I put a Geissele trigger in my other ar, should have gone that way on this one.

So you may want to think before buying the Timney......

What was your procedure to measure the trigger pull?

Have a trigger gauge, just made for triggers, Wheeler I think off hand.

Nope it is a Lyman, electronic, measures pull, average etc.
