I'm putting together a 243 upper to play with. 22" with rifle length gas system. Never bought an adjustable gas block before so I thought I would ask for recommendations or one's to avoid. Tried the search function but didn't have much luck finding any previous threads. Don't want to break the bank but definitely don't want junk either. I appreciate any wisdom imparted.

My preference is Seekins, although I've used and liked cheaper versions of the same style. I like the infinite adjustment (as opposed to finite clicks) and the set and forget locking style. Note that they can still be adjusted with the locking screw tightened down, it just takes more torque and isn't likely to loosen if you don't adjust it back and forth a bunch.

Others may suggest click-adjustable gas blocks like Syrac etc, which might be your preference if you plan to tinker with the adjustment a lot.

I went with a Superlative Arms block on a Black Hole barrel. Pretty happy with the setup.
