I've had my PC Carbine for a few months now and have been playing around with reloading for it. I realize it's not a bench rest gun but I'd be interested to hear what people are getting for accuracy at 50 and 100 yds. Seems best I can do is about 2" @ 100 with a 3-9 on it. I also seem to always throw the first shot high. Oh, and don't break it down if you want the same point of impact next time out.....

What are you loading? Usually if a 69 Sierra and 25 of Varget with a BR4 in an LC case doesn't shoot MOA or less its a gun issue.

Which could be mount, scope, barrel etc...

First shot high on a clean barrel? Shots will fly different with different powders for a few shots till the barrel is fouled to that powder or even bullet jacket material at times...

There should be no reason for zero to change when breaking it down....

Rost, I'm talking about the Ruger PC Carbine in 9mm. Best load I've found so far is a 147 HP over 4.7 gr Unique. Ive tried a couple 124s and some factory 115 gr ball. So far no love there.

Heavy bullets in the Beretta when was in pistol matches shot better than light bullets is the best I have to offer. Sub sonic 147s were cats azz at 50 yards. I'd think 2 inches at 100 would be pretty decent IMHO.

For a 9mm carbine, your results are probably good

Those are interesting. With 9mm so cheap, not sure I'd be loading for one, but 2" is pretty dang good.

I’d be happy with 2” at 100 yards. That’s more than accurate for anything I’d want to do with a PCC.

I think JP only guarantees their guns to be 2 or 3” in 9mm.

I have one Ballistic Advantage barrel on an AR15. It shoots pretty darn good. I didn't have it long enough to do some serious accuracy tests. It's now at my son and daughter in laws. I can't seem to get them to send it back home. I have seen some discussion about their 16" mid length AR barrels being pretty darn accurate. BA makes 9mm barrels as well. If building one is in your future I think you will happy with the results.

Even good 9mm is pretty cheap compared to other rounds.

Depends on the intended use I suppose. I see carbines like that as home defense/plinkers where pinpoint accuracy doesn't matter much. The OP didn't say what sights he's using, but 2" is impressive for a gun like that.

I wonder if the POI change after reassembly is temporary until it settles in, or if it needs to be re-zeroed? That would be inconvenient.

I have all 3 Beretta Storm carbines (9mm; 40mm; and 45 ACP) with Eotech and Aimpoint red dot sights and there isn’t a rabbit safe within 60 yards...

Probably the 9mm, and it is really accurate. I also don't think 2 inches at 100 yards is bad at all...
