Bought the boy a DPMS Oracle for Christmas for plinking and hunting. Never hunted something with 4-legs with an Ar before so never needed a hunting sling on mine. What kind of attachment do you guys recommend for a sling and possibly a bipod?

Depends on the rifle configuration.

Does it have a pinned FSB? What kind of handguard? Are you planning on swapping parts out? Maybe post a photo or two and recommendations can be made appropriate to the application. wink

Take off the buffer tube and put on a rear plate that has the holes to attach a single point sling then re-install the tube.

Like this:

Or like this:

If you really want a front sling attach do this :

No way in hell I'd want a single point sling on a hunting rifle. Get a Proctor sling, options are nice.

This.
Thanks for the ideas. I ordered a Proctor sling. Seemed like the most cost effective route with the most options.

I like a sling stud aft and a QR on the stern.

Have dozens so configured.
