Ran a across a 1986 mini 30 today, it appears to have a aftermarket Eagle front sight, basically a ghost ring with flash hider held by an screw on the bottom. What was the correct front sight setup when these things came out? thanks. Any concerns with the Eagle sights?

Mini's of that vintage generally had a banded front sight with the ramp made integral to it.

As long as yours is solidly attached , the rifle will Zero and the front post isn't too thick for the type of shooting you do , it should be fine.
