Ruger just announced this item for sale. It is a copy of the folding stock they offered in the 1980-1990 Era.

I liked mine. It locked up pretty solid, and I like how the buttplate locked into the stock. $ 280 is the price of a AR pistol kit (less 50 dollar lower) on Palmetto when there is not a panic.
I want one.
Good stock.

I had one of those on mine at that time. I thought it was pretty cool.
Bad Ass Barracus and Hannibal Smith come to mind when I see that.
I’d like one, but $279 is more than I would spend
That sucks for the value of my all original one. Lots of folks are going to buy these for sub $300 and sell their minis for $1k+, or the prices will fall for the original ones as this stock makes it easy to clone one now. Maybe I should unload my original before the market tanks for them even more than it has already.

The originals were fitted to the old style Mini 14, and won't fit the new rifles, and vice versa.
I bought one around 15 years ago (post-ban) for around $99 IIRC. Was it a Butler, Uncle Mikes......?
