IMHO that solves a few problems.
But looks like crap (after viewing a few on the web).

Am thinking of getting one anyway, and after I settle on where a set of Warne cross slot rings need to go, having most of the not used stuff milled off, and scallop the front of the base.

Anybody done this yet? LOL

wink

Also thinking have NECG clean up my pitted tang on the ol 4 digit.

Same thoughts on the looks but very practical. By the time you sleek up the EGW rib you will be half or more of the way to a custom rib. Dakota and some others made universal blanks fitted for dougklas and dakota contours, maybe someone is still doing this with an over the action rib.

This guy advertises custom bases and ribs, he even does integral ones, might be worth an Email. http://www.leveractions.com/RugerNo_1.htm

Does the EGW base use the original rib mounting holes, or does it require new holes in the top of the barrel?

Uses orig holes

I dont think cleaning up an EGW rib to be much of a problem.

Have local sources.

I emailed Nonnemans a while back about my wanting a 35 rem #1.
