Asking about a No. 1 in 280 Remington. Was made in 2002, probably 90-95% condition. The wood is sorta plain but in very good condition. Would 700.00 plus tax be a good deal? Is the 280 chambering a rare one?

that is a good price, not that rare of cartridge but a good cartridge too

The 280 run of a few years ago seemed to mostly have plain wood, although I'm sure some had good timber. Anything under $1000 in nice condition is a steal in todays No.1 world. It's a fine cartridge, but no added value because of it.

It would sell quickly at any price under $900 or so.

Went back and it was gone. I didn’t need it so probably good it was no longer there.
