I put a Henry single shot in 308 in LayAWay today, Very pretty stock and Forarms, it's new the trigger guard does not have a dimple in it does that mean that the trigger has not been fixed or have they all been fixed and they quit putting the dimple in the factory ones? All the talk on here about the stalking rifles, I can afford a Henry, so that's the way I went. Seems 308 ammo is out there. Another reason is went with it.

Ones made in 2020 and later are supposed to have the new trigger. Get the serial number and call Henry and ask. That dimple is very tiny, and not easy to see. It’s inside the guard, behind the trigger.

Fret not, the return process is pretty painless, barring fumble-fingering by UPS. They provide a shipping carton and label. You drop it off, and they send it back to your house.

As was said, new guns will have the dimple as will repaired ones. Verify the dimple is not there and if it's not ask the dealer to send it in while you are waiting to pay it off.

I'm going to pick it up on Monday, I'll have to look for the dimple, I was thinking it was on the outside of the trigger guard., It's new in the box, only 308 they had, wood has killer grain to it one of the reasons I'm buying it.

My Henry Single shot 357 had extremely nice walnut. Sent it to Henry for the recall. Got it back with points of the checkering on both sides of the forearm scarred. It looks like it was roughly fastened into a clamp of sorts without care. I immediately contacted Henry and sent pictures, and they responded with an email but I was concerned about risking another handling’. I have not sent it back again.
I guess the recall is necessary but was disheartened to see marks on an otherwise perfect stock checkering.
At least I wasn’t the one to make the first ‘marks’. Otherwise it’s a cool little rifle with beautiful walnut stock.
