So is Thompson center gone for good never to return? I’ve noticed the prices of anything contender/ encore has sky rocketed just like when the handi rifle went bye bye..
Makes me think about selling off all my contender collection while the selling is high and jump on the Henry bandwagon! What’s y’all’s thoughts on that?
They are still listing single shots on their page.

Maybe it’s just production is low during these times.
https://www.shootingillustrated.com/content/smith-wesson-plans-to-sell-thompson-center-arms/6-May-21:
Thompson/Center Arms may soon no longer be part of the Smith & Wesson family of companies, according to a statement issued this week. The announced divesture is part of Smith & Wesson’s long-term strategy to remain focused on its core brands.
https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbt...thread/Board/21/main/1063587/type/thread I kinda suspect they will disappear
T/C will be pretty much a name only. Along with designs, patents, trademarks, etc. The T/C factory will remain owned ny S&W since they are using to produce their own guns now. Whoever buys T/C will have to set up a factory and toolling.
There’s a new Gen1 Contender in the works from another maker, but it’s running very late. Encores will probably disappear unless someone decides to pick up the pieces, which I doubt very much. There are several barrel-makers out there, as well as other aftermarket parts, so if you want something TC, you’ll probably be able to keep it running.
I have a pile of new Contender parts but I no longer own a Contender and do not intend to buy one.
