I wish they all had wood like this. I like the No. 1A and 7x57 is just cute.
Very nice rifles.
I have a #1A in 7x57 made in 77 that I like a lot. My wood isn’t as nice as yours.
These are both 131 serial number prefix I believe.
I have one in .218 Bee that has pretty wood like these. Also have one in .22 Hornet, with better than average wood, but not as nice as these, or my Bee. Nice rifles sir! Thanks for the peek.

I sold them locally and took the picture just before he came and got them.
Thanks. I certainly didn't need 3 of them!
Way back in the day I had a #1AB in 7X57 that had nice wood, in fact the nice stock sold me on the rifle. I have a 22 Hornet one of the limited editions with the case colored receiver that has a nice piece of wood. Mostly I restock them however.
Nicer wood than most I see.
Picked this one up at the GunShow this past weekend.....
Not sure the guy knew it had a Kepplinger Trigger....
I had a 4 digit .280.Rem.
Wasnt mint. But wood too nice for me to ding up hunting.
Bye bye.
Have my dads old .22 250. He hunted it a lot and it looks it.
Thought about sending it in for makeover.
Pad for sure needs replaced, and grip cap is pitted.
