Manufactured in 1973. Near full coverage floral scroll on the receiver with stag heads on either side. Engraver's signature on the left of the lever. Barrel marked "TOM GILLMAN HOT SPRINGS/ARK."

It was originally a 1B in 270.

My only Ruger No. 1 is chambered in 7x57. I’d love to add a .22 Hornet and .300 H&H to the mix.

Had a Hornet, swapped for a 223 with much better wood. Had a 300 H&H that was a beauty but no fun to shoot.
