I know the G-2 contender is rated for higher pressure cartridges than a G-1. Is a 223 barrel safe on a G-1 frame?

Yep, 223 standard load should be no issue in a conforming frame. Heck, I suspect some of my 45LC +P loads put a lot more load on the frame...

T/C sold a lot of G1's with 223 and 221 barrels. They're fine. Moving up in case head size but maintaining the same pressure is where the problems can start.

I thought my rememberer said that but it's getting old and sometimes unreliable.
