I just purchased a BF Standard Hunting Pistol in 6.5 BRM from EABCO on their website Friday night. I was checking on Saturday to see if I needed anything else, I had already ordered the gun, ammo, brass and dies, and when I looked at the gun again I noticed it now said “Not available at this time” where the order button was. I was worried now so I called this morning and a nice young lady informed me that yes I did order one in fact it was the last one. She said they were having supply problems and couldn’t get the parts to build them so they were not going to be making them anymore. She said they were going to concentrate on their T/C barrels now

Good snag!

I had one a few years back and let it go (as I did with a good bit of my Contender stuff). Looking back, I wish I would have kept it all. But, tastes change.

Have fun with it. It is a good shooting round and quite the performer when you find the right load.

I’ve never seen one in person but always thought they were interesting. It’s too bad they have stopped producing them. I look forward to hearing how it does for you. Very cool.

If you're ever interested in buying one there were a lot of them used in silhouette shooting over the years, those are the circles to search in, they're out there. I've never actually fired one either but shoot with some guys that use them. They're nicely made and accurate.

Always thought one in .22 would be the cat’s ass, but alas I let opportunity slip away.

I have the same caliber in a T/C Contender barrel. Working on loads for it now. I’m getting the best accuracy with H-4350 and N140 with a 120 gr Nosler Ballistic tip. Average velocity is around 2300. Fire forming the brass isn’t too bad of a chore. I use 9 gr of Unique and cream of wheat to form mine. Works very well.

Good luck with yours.

Railman, what length is your Contender barrel?

Mine is a 14”, I had a muzzle break installed on mine and it has hardly any recoil, Still working on loads as I hope to use it this fall to Wyoming and take an antelope with it.
