Very nice! I have a pair of the Lipseys walnut/stainless 6.5x55 #1's and I can tell you that you'll love that rifle.
Welcome aboard, sir! Really nice one!

I put off buying my first No.1 for years and only regret is that I waited so long.

Oh man, that's really nice. I'm green!

I have one of the Lipsey's K1A's. It loves IMR4895 and a 140.

I just order 2 boxes of 140 gr Partitions also

Welcome to the falling block fanatics club !

Congratulation on a beautiful rifle in a wonderful cartridge. If you have stringing problems with your 1A like my 7x57 red pad had, feel free to PM about correcting it without any add on gizmos or work beyond a few good chisels and a Dremel tool that leaves no trace on the outside.

FYI, the 160 gr Hornady RNSP is back in production. It is an accurate deadly killer on game as large as Moose/Elk. Not sexy looking in today's world of mega bullets but like a 220 gr 30 caliber Hornady RNSP, has been filling freezers for decades.

My 7x57 or 275 Rigby as you prefer, is the top one.

If that is your first #1, you got a real looker!

Yes he did especially in the world of black pads w/bean counters rather than Bill running the company. Were it mine I shop up an original red pad for it and refinish the wood to match the good old days.

300H&H RedPad (ex 30-06 1B) Now vellly British.

Wow,

Now that's the way to start collecting #1"s.

But it's like taking your wife to a 5* resort the first time you vacation in an exotic location. It is going to be a hard act to follow.

My K1A in 6.5x55 is one of my favorites. Great balance and a joy to shoot.

Pretty fine looking stocks!

My .45-70 has a bit of that fiddleback pattern. My 9.3x74R has a nice piece of wood but without the pattern -
