Finally being able to get a Pachmyer Dominator, has been a handgun that I have wanted since they first came out.
This one started out life is a 308 Winchester. Factory barrel shot very good.
I had it re-barreled to 6.5 Creedmoor.
Chris Rhodes/Bayside Custom Gunworks did all the custom work on this, and the trigger pull is fantastic for a 1911. Scope is a long eye relief Leupold.
I chronographed it with the 140 grain A-Max/H-4350/Fed primers/Hornady brass, and then proceeded to verify my drops out to 500 yards.
At 100 yards I used my MINI rest with the small field bag.
Zeroed my turrets, and then shot from the standing position using Bog Gear and I shot at 200 yards, 250 yards, 300 yards, 350 yards, 400 yards, and 500 yards.
Video of shooting at 500 yards is the link below

I had a lot of fun shooting this handgun.

Late 70’s, early 80’s
Do you use the frame with a 45acp slide or is the frame dedicated to the Pachmyer
Mine is a dedicated frame out of preference.
Others switch back and forth.
I wanted one once. Went with the Encore instead.
Very cool Ernie. I remember reading an article in either shooting times or guns n ammo in the mid 80's about it, tested in I believe 7mm08. I've seen a few over the years at gun shows. I'd be tempted if the price was right although I prefer the center grip design of my xp 100 7mm08.
Theres one for sale on gun broker I belive it was a 7m08
