Can the forearm of an RSI be replaced with a 1-A forearm, or any of the other No. 1 forearms?
I would have to say maybe. IIRC, the barrel of an RSI is much skinnier than say one on a #1#, B, or S. It just might have pretty unsightly gap between the forearm and the barrel. A super free float so to speak. I might be a better idea to cut the current forearm into the shorter type you want.

Thanks Paul. Not a bad idea, really.

Anyone else?
The Ruger RSI guns usually sell at a premium so you might be better off selling you RSI and buying a No. 1 with the forearm you like. BTW what caliber is your No. 1? How much do you want for it?
A 1-a forend will fit perfectly.

Looked for a yr and gave up.
Ugly rifle kinda growing on me.
