I recently picked up a new 223 barrel for my little Contender carbine and wanted to head out and give it a try. Ran out yesterday for some scouting/exploring and managed to get the nice male in the pic as my first ever Contender coyote. He was hanging out in a little valley mousing or something and somehow didn't hear or see me coming until I was about 85 yards away. When he finally got sight of me he ran off about 100 yards more and then stopped and turned back facing me. Stood still just long enough and I was able to drop him on the spot with a vmax to the chest. Besides him I also saw a good number of pronghorn in the area, so hopefully this will save a few fawns!

Now, he's a good dog.
