Picked one of these up on a whim recently. Have not shot it yet, but am impressed with the overall appearance and workmanship. The fit and finish are very good and the trigger is excellent. Anyone have any experience with this model?
Is it the stainless model? I understand they are built similiar to the old Apex which was a quality single shot. I have been tempted to try one in 444 for a midwest straight wall state.
Waiting to find one in 350 Legend.

It is the stainless takedown model. It is also threaded for suppressor. I don't care for the short lenght of pull or monte carlo style stock, but am anxious to see how it shoots.
Is the receiver SS or alloy? Like to see one in walnut/SS.
Always liked falling blocks, but have just started liking the kipplaufs. Very happy with my Henry so far. Might get it out for does in a day or so
Have a CVA Hunter in 7-08 due in a day or so, 22" threaded 5/8-24, blued. Pretty high expectations for the $215 investment.
Have no idea if the mechanics are the same as the Scout?
Buddy has the Hunter in .35 rem. Shoots fine.
As with other break opens, not shutting them briskly can lead to a no go.
I think the Scout with trigger guard release (kinda like Contender) a bit nicer than the Hunter.
Ended up w a 760 in .35 rem so bailed on trying to find a discontinued Scout.
The 44 mag take down...........has tempted me, but pops has a fingergroove Ruger in 44 mag (and I've shot deer w it).
Thinking .350 legend if they come out.
Put an aimpoint on it for the kid.
The 350 Legend would be a really nice offering in the CVA Scout. I hope that happens.
Got the Bud's Hunter 7-08 today. Made in Spain, missed that memo. Solid lock up, econo front to back, heavier than one might think, threaded, trigger ho hum... $215 into it, we'll see. Came with Weaver multi-slot base and hammer spur. Might go for the gusto and mount a Simmons 3-9x50 on it.
Got confirmation today that there is a CVA Scout in 350 Legend. So far no one can actually find one yet. Dealer speculates that they haven't made it to market just yet. SS 20" fluted barrel. Did find this before I contacted a local dealer:

I predict they will sell the living Chitt out of that model.
I have one in 44 magnum. It's erratic. At 50 yards it would put several round through the same hole, then toss one way off. I switched loads and got the same result. I switched scopes and have yet to shoot it. My bud has one in 223 and it's nasty accurate.
