Talo has advertised two special runs of the Ruget no.1 in 22LR ! Did those ever come to market?

I remember that, it was a mistake. Since No.1's are a rifle I collect, I was very disappointed.

Had me excited as well. Fake news

At least one has been made and I have handled it and shot it (at Newport). It is of the AH configuration(no sights), which I think would be one of the best. The Ruger employee who was with me and shot it also pulled off a near one hole 3 shot group at 50 yards Email Jason at Lipsey's and use the "Email the CEO" function on the Ruger Website to let Chris Killoy know that you want one.
As noted the TALO ad was an error and none for sale made to date.

That's funny

I had several No.1 rifles and bought an action thinking I would have it on a rifle in 22lr. Then 2 things happened, I handled one..... kinda big for a 22 and almost the same day I found a modern Winchester low wall in 22lr at a much lower price than I could have a Ruger made.

Ditto! Particularly the disappointed part.

Believe it was the 22 Hornet version. Which is a damned nice rifle... But alas no 22 LR, which I would buy two of in a heartbeat, maybe faster.

No no.1 in 22LR

There was a guy named John Korzinek (not sure of spelling of last name) who was doing No. 1 conversions to .22 LR for a while. He's either retired or dead now, but the workmanship was first class. I don't know how many he converted, but they are out there.

I owned a Ruger Non1 conversion to 22lr several years ago.
Too heavy. Not as accurate as a Contender.
However, it was a beautiful gun. Just more than needed for a 22lr.

That’s been my experience with four #1s, poor accuracy. They are great looking rifles but as Townsend Whelen said.........

Agreed. That's why I haven't jumped on the 30-06 Ruger posted here. I hate having to crawl the stock to use the scope.

My first 270 1B, bought new, finally did 1.5 MOA after bedding the forearm and trigger work. A 1B 25-06 did 3/4 - 7/8" factory 117s. A 243 1A did 3/8" first 3 shots ever after bore sighting. Rebarreled to 6BR, as that was why I bought it - shot UNDER 1/2" at 330 yds.......another 1RSI 243 shot 5/8 - 7/8".........good enough for this.....

Oh, my K1A 6.5x55 shot 1.1" at 200 yds.......so as you can see, 5 out of 6 accurate No. 1's ain't bad.
