Has anyone ever removed the forend hanger bracket from a TCR barrel? I was considering rechambering a Hornet barrel to Bee however my Hvy 10 spindle bore isn't large enough to accommodate barrel with the bracket in place. Would need I think at least a 2.5" through hole. Tried removing the 2 allen screws and they won't budge. Heated it up pretty good and still no go. Afraid I am going to strip out the hole and then the fun would start. Any idea from anybody if they used a thread locker on these screws. Could do between centers but I have no way of protecting the bluing. Any suggestions or ideas? This damn TCR ordeal is getting to be way more expensive and am about to forget my brain storm and sell the entire deal!!! Thanks in advance.

Respectfully,
Dennis

Had a .22 Hornet rechambered to K Hornet but that would be a lot less metal cut and the 'smith may have done it by hand.

Heat should degrade thread locker. "When disassembling red threadlocker, the process is a little different than for other threadlockers. The key is to apply localized heat greater than 550° F. Then, once the threaded assembly is hot, the bolt can be unthreaded. Without applying heat to the assembly, it’s likely that over time, a bolt would break before coming loose. "

IowaDon and Deaconllb on Graybeard Outdoors are TCR gurus if you could get in contact with them.
