Ain't near as much fun as I remember. Last time I set 330's was in Alaska. Doing it whilst wearing swim trunks, swatting bugs and sweating like a pig when the temp 'feels' like 105 ain't much fun.

I better have a few dead beavers tomorrow.

They didn't come out to play, might have been some of the storms last night. I've shot 2 but I know there are at least 3 more in there.

330s, swim trunks, proximity to beaver gun, and gun pump/Miss Tennessee......what could possibly go wrong?

Back in the midwest we used to play a lot of strange games at trappers gettogethers, one was setting a 330 while standing in a barrel of ice water. Another was grabbing a badger out of a barrel and putting him in another. I personally prefer snares for beaver in open water as they don't spook a beaver if they miss. We never had the option of shooting them.

Been a week... still no beaver. Never known Steelhead to have a dry spell this long when hunting beaver before.

I've snagged a couple of beaver in 330s but never tried in the summer. Those 330s scare the crap out of me and I've only used them in the absolute middle of nowhere for fear of catching someone's pet

Set under a dive pole or cross sticks through the spring eyes there is little chance you of catching anyone's pet unless they swim through the set.

summer I would not use castor. I would go with blind sets in channels and pinch points. There is also summer food lure available for ADC trappers...might be worth a shot of it blind sets don't catch them all.
