Picked up a 31# tom and a 26# tom today
Man I'm glad you take your camera with you. Cat trapping was something I really enjoyed when I was younger. I wasn't as good at as you obviously are, but the excitement of approaching your sets and discovering you got something good is exciting. In other words, not a porcupine, magpie, or a cottontail. And of course an eagle!
By the way did you say that Coyotes are still good? My country is north of the Beartooths from Red Lodge to north of Columbus.
Have a good rest of the season!
Ken
By the way, no snow? Wait a minute I guess I didn't see the snow in the one pic.
I have got a couple coyotes in the las 4 days that were still ok
Damn nice stubbies!! Prety buggers.
Here they are put up. Cat on the right is the 31# tom.
Pretty cats, who makes your stretchers?
Saw some coyotes sell for fairly cheap this morning and they were put up nice, no guards hairs though.
great cats!
Great pictures!
Nice ones!
Seeing the pic of the cat in the tree reminded of an episode I had a few years ago. Had a set under a cedar tree and the tree had branches all the way to the ground. 2 traps at this set.
Drove up the next morning and before I got to the tree, I saw movement in the tree. Sure enough, there was a bobcat about 6 ft. up in the tree. The drag was hung on a limb and the cat had wrapped the chain around just about every limb. I was walking around the tree, trying to figure out how I was gonna get this mess undone, when I noticed the 2nd trap gone. Got to looking around and had another bobcat, hung up in a treetop, about 30 yds away.
Only time I ever doubled on cats.
Great cats .
Cool story Oldman3 .
How did your cats do at the fur buyer?
I realize this post is over a season or two old, but catbegone, are you still trapping? (season 20/21?)
