Half way through C.J. Box's latest tale about Joe Pickett. As usual, Joe finds himself in big trouble though no fault of his own. Pursued by relentless killers through the wilderness with Nate coming to the rescue! Can't wait to read about what happens next.

Every time I find a book from Box that I haven't read yet, I silently yell SCORE!

Thanks for the heads up. About the only books my wife and I both read.

Going to listen to the audio book, narration is great. Excellent series.

It was a good Pickett book. Above average for the series.

Finished it already,
. Dang, that went fast.

It looks like Nate Romanowski might be significant in the next one.

I just read it. Meh, didn't impress me as one of the better ones, but perhaps I've become jaded.

I agree with g5m about getting set up for Nate.

Agreed, thought this was a good one and laid the groundwork for the next one.

I've got some sort of reality need in fiction. It has to have been conceivable, however unlikely.

I like the Joe Pickett parts of the books. Maybe this is because I don't know enough about Wyoming game wardens.

Nate Romanowski doesn't pass the smell test, and I downrate any books where he figures into the story line. NR is supposedly a product of the US military. More homework should have been done.
