This new novel is set in the Wyoming- South Dakota area.

A pawn shop has a small West Point 2005 ring for sale. Jack Reacher wonders whose it was and why it's for sale so he buys it, and starts a backward trace on ownership. That leads him into a criminal enterprise and also into wounded veteran territory, with many links of information being pulled together.

It makes addiction more real and understandable than most efforts seem to.

A good read.
Agreed.
Just about finished with it. It's been hard to put down, Just like all of the rest of the Reacher books.
It is on my list since I am up to date on previous Reacher stories.
Read it two weeks ago. The whole Jack Reacher series is good and this is one of the best.
Just an fyi, but 60 Minutes just ran a segment on the narcotics trade as supplied by major drug companies-- somewhat like that portion of the book.
I have always been big on reading, and the Jack Reacher series is in my top 5 all time favorite.

I have read all the previous books, and just started in on this one. Having traveled all over the US and many other countries, it's always interesting to me to see his take on the different places he goes.

Lee Child cannot possibly spit these out quick enough for me!
Good read, but all the Reacher books are, imo
