This is a nine part documentary series on Amazon Prime, probably on the Military Channel as well but I don't get that. Not a real A list production but I'm finding it interesting and definitely informative. British and American military historians provide a fairly detailed overview of different tanks during WWII; their development history, strengths, weaknesses, effectiveness in battle, how they fared against their adversaries, different variations and so forth. So far they've covered the Sherman, Churchill, T-34, German assault guns and tank killers, next one for me to watch covers the Tiger, then in succeeding episodes they'll break down the battles of Kursk, Normandy and the Ardennes (Bulge). Lots of stock footage you've probably seen before that doesn't always fit the time frame under discussion, like I said not a real A list production, but the analysis of each tank seems to be fairly objective and it has some good info for those interested and who haven't already read every book ever written about the subject. Each episode is about 45 minutes w/o commercials.
