I have been reading a lot of this guys novels lately. Mostly the Mitch Rapp series .Predominately taking place in the Middle East with various anti-terrorist themes. The main character hates the wishy washy US Congress's ways they want to deal with problems and is a rogue assassin bucking the system. Although only fiction, it makes a person wonder how our government /congressmen work.

If reading start with book one. They presently go all the way thru book 15

Having a Top Secret Clearance for over 40 years and participating in quite a few black programs, I was asked several times to commit illegal acts in the name of national security. So some of the stories are not far off base.

Another author I have been enjoying is David Baldacci. Great murder mysteries

Consent to kill is my favorite. And they have a new guy writing under his name since he died a few years ago. He is doing a pretty good job but it's not the same

If you like Flynn, read " Term Limits". I read both Flynn and Baldacci all the time. Looking for some new authors also. I read um faster then they write them. I also like Child, Box, Thor and Brad Taylor.

I started Separation of Powers last night. It is Book #5 .For some reason I have had hard time borrowing it. Term Limit is next and then Red War. Both written by the new author, Kyle Mills. After that I have read all of the series

I borrow them electronically from our library on to my Kindle

My go-to authors have been Baldacci, Grisham, Brad Taylor, C.J. Box, Craig Johnson, new author Jack Tarr, Stephen Hunter, and Ace Adkins. As stated above, they can't produce them fast enough.

Also Grippando.

Good list. I have about 40 books on my desk waiting to be read. I may have to start giving them 'a lick and a promise" but that does take away a lot of the pleasure of the read.

I have read many of the authors mentioned and haven't found any that I like as much as John Sanford.

GWB,

Of that long list, which is closest to the Doc Ford series? I've read all the Ford series except his latest.

thanks....Jeff

Mitch Rapp is one heck of a dude - really enjoying all the books with him is the key character. I'm about half way through "Red War" now having read them all in order. Once I finish it I'll go back to the Marc Greaney/ Gray Man books Geedubya already mentioned. For anyone that likes the Mitch Rapp series you guys will really like the Court Gentry "Gray Man" series!!!

Geedubya, you not only have great taste in guns & knifes you also listed pretty much every book I've read lately - well done!!
