This is a very interesting movie taking place in the early 19th century during the beginning of the Greek War for independence against the brutal Ottoman Turks Empire, which ruled over Greece with an iron, bloody fist. It follows the story of a young Greek woman whose family is murdered by Turks. She swears revenge and joins fellow Greeks in rebellion against the Ottoman Empire. This rebellion eventually ended in freedom for the Greeks. A pivotal battle between the Turks and Greeks eventually changed the course of history. l
